Name: Mr. Jeremy WinsorPhone: (989) 236-7232 ext 3145Email: winsorje@fultonpirates.netTwitter: @JeremyWinsorClass Facebook: facebook.com/MrWinsorsClassroomWelcome to Mr. Winsor's classroom!I'm excited to be back at Fulton as a teacher. About 20 years ago I was in the very position that many of you find yourself in... a Fulton High School student. In 2006 I graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelors of Science in Education. My emphasis is in Secondary Education with a major in Earth Science and a minor in Biology. After graduation, I spent one-year teaching 7th - 12th-grade students at Bear Lake Schools (near Traverse City), and three years teaching 9th - 12th graders at Ionia High School. During my time as a teacher, I also completed a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership (Principalship) at Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids. I have also been a coach for much of my post-high school life. I have coached varsity track, freshman football, and varsity wrestling. I believe that athletics (along with many other extra-curricular activities) prepares young people for success by instilling a structured atmosphere, and a life-long appreciation of hard work and perseverance. As students, I challenge you to find an extracurricular activity that you can build friendships, a work ethic, along with a plethora of other beneficial characteristics.I also enjoy a variety of activities outside of school including hunting, fishing, time with my family, and athletics. I have three children ranging from 9 to 13 years old. Brooklyn will be starting 9th grade at Saranac High School this fall and she enjoys books, running and school. Landen is a high-energy 12-year-old that loves football and wrestling. And Preston is a spunky 10-year-old that loves Lego's and will be entering 4rd grade this fall. My wife, Jessica, keeps all of the kids (along with household operations) in amazing order, despite the business of three youth. She is currently employed by Spectrum health and works at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids on the Orthopedic Trauma and Reconstructive Floor.I look forward to this school year and hope that all of you are excited to prepare for your future through advancing your education. If you have any questions for me please don't hesitate to contact me via phone or e-mail. Good Luck this year!Links for Modeling InstructionLinks for Teaching and Learning
