In a few minutes, our school will be conducting an ALICE safety drill in partnership with local law enforcement and 911 dispatch.
Please note the following key details for this morning's exercise:
Increased Police Presence: You may notice emergency vehicles and officers responding to the campus in real time as part of the simulation. Please do not be alarmed.
Extended Duration: Because law enforcement will be responding and clearing the building, this drill will take longer than standard procedures.
Full Simulation: Students and staff will practice scenario-specific protocols (securing or evacuating to designated rally points), followed by a group debrief with Deputy Greene in the gym once the building is cleared.
We appreciate your support as we practice these essential procedures to keep our campus safe.
A junior nominated by Mrs. Buck, Rogan is the son of Kay and Joe Marsden and a proud member of both the football team and Above the Influence. Rogan is the kind of student who leads by example—if he sees something that needs to be done, he steps up and does it without being asked, whether that's holding open a door, offering to help carry heavy items, or taking charge when a group needs a leader.
Known for his honesty and strong work ethic, he handles a busy schedule that includes college courses, a job, football practice, and regular classes, all while making sure to regularly check in on his Grandma Vicki. Outstanding job, Rogan, and keep up the great work!

Our 6th graders became thermal energy engineers, applying what they learned about heat flow, particle kinetic energy, conductors, and insulators. Using their knowledge of how energy transfers through conduction, convection, and radiation, students designed, built, and tested custom insulated cups to minimize thermal energy loss.
Check out their incredible prototypes! Which design do you think kept liquid cold the longest?
