Day #4 of Bus Safety Week! Do you know the danger zones of a school bus? Please talk with your child about the danger zones of a school bus.
Also here are some safety tips for outside the bus and inside the bus to share with your children as well. Let's all work together to keep our kids safe!
Day #3 of National Bus Safety Week! Today we are passing along some safety tips for drivers. Did you know that school buses are like traffic signals?
*Prepare to stop when a slowing bus has its overhead yellow lights flashing
*Stop at least 20 feet away from buses when red lights are flashing unless driving in
the opposite direction on a divided highway
*Slow down in or near school and residential areas
*Look for clues-such as safety patrols, crossing guards, bicycles, and playgrounds-
that indicate children might be in the area
*Watch for children between parked cars and other objects
*Use additional caution in bad weather.

What is School Bus Safety Week?
School Bus Safety Week is celebrated during the third full week of October each year. This annual event is a great way to bring school bus drivers, students, parents, educators, and motorists together to raise awareness of the importance of school bus safety.
Be on the lookout all next week as we will be sharing helpful school bus safety tips.
