This Saturday our school campus will be filled with people from all over. It is the Athletic Boosters annual Fulton Invite. Our baseball and softball teams will be hosting tournaments on their fields, our track and field team will be hosting a track meet, and the Band Boosters will be running their craft show. The Fulton Schools and Ashley Community Schools Board of Education are pleased to announce that we have entered into negotiations with Mr. Ryan Portenga to serve as the superintendent for both districts and communities. This is an exciting first step as we embark on a new chapter together!
Mr. Portenga brings a wealth of experience from his impressive service as the Middle/High School Principal at Pewamo Westphalia. During his tenure, he has consistently demonstrated his commitment to championing all students across Academics, Arts, and Athletics. The interview process allowed us to gain an even greater appreciation for his accomplishments, which are grounded in a student and family-centered philosophy and close collaboration with his administrative teams.
We are confident that Mr. Portenga's strong communication abilities, steadfast work ethic, and core values will align with the goals and aspirations of both districts and communities. His leadership will help foster positive growth and a stronger sense of community throughout our schools.
