Our milk vendor, Prairie Farms, is experiencing a supply issue from their paperboard suppler, resulting in half pint milk shortages. This is not a milk shortage, but a carton/package shortage. As a substitute, Prairie Farms is supplying pantry fresh product in both chocolate and white milk. They anticipate this to last through early February. Your students may notice a difference in packaging and/or taste. While the taste is slightly different, we have tasted it and it is comparable to other pantry fresh milks. The packaging is easier when using a straw, however, some students may have difficulty in pouring for cereal. Please encourage your students to ask for assistance if needed. Milk is a required component of the National School Lunch Program, therefore, we are not able to offer other substations. As always, there are water fountains available that students may fill their water bottles if they choose.

After reviewing data for our initial Parent Survey for the 2023-24 school year the District Improvement Team would like to as a few follow up questions. The boys basketball game scheduled for Monday 1/8 @ St Pats has been moved to Tuesday 1/9. JV games will be begin at 6 PM. Reminder the game will be played at Portland Middle School.

December 28th the girls and boys basketball programs play @ Ithaca. It will be a full day of basketball beginning at 12 PM. We will be doing a fundraiser for the B#4 Foundation.

Tonight's MS GB matchup has been cancelled. 7th grade will practice after school until 4:45 PM. 8th grade practice is cancelled, but players can go to 7th grade practice if they would like.

Due to the low numbers for 7th grade boys basketball, we will be holding tryouts during youth basketball practice for 6th grade boys. Our plan is to ask 3-4 students to play with the 7th grade team and the rest will play 6th grade youth league. Reminder, 5th and 6th grade boys and girls basketball practice will begin Monday, Dec 11th from 6:30-8 PM in the HS gym. Please make sure to have registration and payment on the first day if you haven't turned in the form yet. Go Pirates!
