Due to the ongoing weather situation and for the safety of the players, Powderpuff is being shifted to a volleyball game in the gym. Parents are still welcome to attend this event in the Middle School/High School Gym.

We had a wonderful time with Shandy Longcore from Embracing Imperfections today. Thank you to Sacred Heart Academy for providing some funds to help bring her to us. Shandy gave us some conversation questions for families. Thank you also to all of our student support staff (and Bo) who were on site for students who needed extra support.

Reminder that our Strategic Planning Community Forum Meetings are scheduled for Thursday, September 14th at 8:00am, 12:00pm and 6:00pm in the MS/HS Medial Center.

Update on the Playground: So a few folks have asked about the progress of the playground project. As you know this was delayed due to manufacturing issues. Some of you may have noticed that site work had started and concrete was poured to begin the walking track. However, the concrete that was poured was not up to our standards and we insisted that it be removed. I am happy to report that the playground company has now contracted with one of our local contractors and work on the walking track will resume this week. Also, we expect that the playground equipment should be onsite this week and I am told it will take about 3 weeks for the installation. So we are very hopeful that the project will be completed in early October. I know that this process has not come together as quickly as any of us wanted and we thank you for your patients.

Just a reminder that we will be having Community Forum meetings as part of our strategic planning process on Thursday, September 14th in the Middle School/High School Media Center at 8:30am, 12:00pm and 6:00pm. We would love to hear your feedback if you are able to attend one of these meetings. Some of our students had a chance to listen to Coach Mackey speak today about character development. We are excited to start his 2 words curriculum within our athletic department and the MSAC! Thank you Coach Mackey!
