Fulton Family Game Night is rescheduled for May 6th! A new RSVP will be coming home this week with your child. Please take the time to fill this out and return it by Friday May 1st. 💙 Supporting Our Children After the Tornado 💙
We are so thankful that our community is safe. After a storm like this, it’s normal for children (and adults) to have big feelings—fear, confusion, or even lingering worry.
One of the most important things we can do is remind our children that they are safe, loved, and not alone. Your calm presence, extra hugs, and simple routines can go a long way in helping them feel secure again.
🧸 Here are a few simple ways to support your child:
• Offer comfort and reassurance—snuggles, kind words, and being close matter
• Encourage them to talk (or draw/play) about their feelings
• Keep small routines when possible (bedtime stories, meals, etc.)
• Limit exposure to repeated news or storm images
• Remind them that helpers are all around us working to keep everyone safe
It’s okay if your child has questions—even if you don’t have all the answers. What matters most is reminding them: “I’m here, and I will take care of you.”

Fulton Elementary Families,
We want to let everyone know that our Grandparents Day celebration has been rescheduled to , Friday May 1st. 1-2:15pm with gym doors opening at 12:45. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to find a new date that allows us to celebrate together.
We ask that if you have any changes with grandparents to let us know, otherwise we will continue to use what you have previously provided.
If you need to make changes, please request a form from us.

Fulton Schools will resume normal operations tomorrow and classes will be in session. Power has been restored to all buildings. Water, internet and phone services are up and running.
While there is still much work to do to fully recover from the storm, we want to get students back to their normal routines.
A huge thank you goes out to our tireless maintenance and custodial crew. They have been on the ground working since Wednesday morning to put things back together.
We look forward to seeing all our students back in class tomorrow.

Good morning Fulton Elementary families. We wanted to reach out to everyone and give as much time as possible for planning for tomorrow. We need to make a couple changes if we have school tomorrow.
1. We are going to need to cancel Grandparents Day for tomorrow. With the storm clean-up and water parking will be an issue. Additionally, with the last two days cancelled we have not been able to fully prepare for the event. I will look to reschedule the day in the near future. Please keep an eye out for an updated date and communications to come home next week. c
2. We are planning to give students a chance to shop the book fair during the day tomorrow. Parents are welcome to shop between 2:00 p.m.. and 4:00 p.m. Please check into the office if you are shopping between 2:00 and 3:00.

We wanted to share a quick update with our school community following the recent storm.
At this time, it appears that damage to our buildings is minimal. We have identified a couple of leaks in both buildings and some siding and metal damage. Our maintenance team will know more once they are able to safely access the roofs.
There are several trees down across campus, and our biggest challenge right now is restoring power. At least six power poles on and around campus are down, which will take some time to address.
We appreciate your patience and support as we work through cleanup and recovery. We’ll continue to keep you updated as we learn more. 💙
