Good Morning,
PTO is looking for Volunteer's for our school carnival on March 20th from 6-8pm. We have lots of fun and games planned for the kids. We have a couple different time slots available for volunteering. First grade + Go Fish = high frequency word magic! 🎣✨
Today in Ms. Rench's class, we practiced our high frequency words by playing a fun game of Go Fish! Students had to read the word on their card before asking a friend, and they had to listen carefully to remember who had which word.
This game wasn’t just fun — it built:
📚 automatic word recognition
👂 careful listening skills
🧠 memory and attention
💬 speaking in complete sentences
Learning through play helps these important words stick! I love watching their confidence grow as they read, ask, and respond like pros. 💙

Chris Easlick, Meteorologist from channel 5 news WNEM will be visiting our school on Feb 19t. His visit with consist of a presentation for the Elementary students. We are asking all students and staff to wear Fulton gear that day.

Our first graders have been busy little artists lately 🎨❤️ In art class, students created beautiful self-portraits, celebrating what makes each of them unique, and painted vibrant hand print cardinals to brighten these chilly days. 100 days smarter and 100 days brighter! 🎉
Our first graders celebrated the 100th day of school in the best way—by learning, creating, and dreaming BIG. We wrote 100 words (and were so proud of our stamina!), made necklaces with 100 pieces of cereal, and let our imaginations soar as we wrote about what we would do if we had $100.
From buying toys and helping family to saving for the future, their ideas were as sweet as their cereal necklaces. I’m so proud of how much they’ve grown in 100 days—here’s to the next 100! 💛💙
