Happy Friday! Our milk vendor, Prairie Farms, is experiencing a supply issue from their paperboard suppler, resulting in half pint milk shortages. This is not a milk shortage, but a carton/package shortage. As a substitute, Prairie Farms is supplying pantry fresh product in both chocolate and white milk. They anticipate this to last through early February. Your students may notice a difference in packaging and/or taste. While the taste is slightly different, we have tasted it and it is comparable to other pantry fresh milks. The packaging is easier when using a straw, however, some students may have difficulty in pouring for cereal. Please encourage your students to ask for assistance if needed. Milk is a required component of the National School Lunch Program, therefore, we are not able to offer other substations. As always, there are water fountains available that students may fill their water bottles if they choose
