As you may have heard, October is Free College Application Month in Michigan. So, in addition to the FAFSA opening up, now there is a chance to apply to the colleges or universities that you are interested in for free. Attached is a list of the participating colleges and universities that are offering free college applications or waiving their application fees during the month of October.
If you ordered mums, they will be delivered Thursday, October 2nd (TODAY). You can pick them up at the greenhouse after school until 5:30pm.

Last week a communication was sent out that the 2026-27 FAFSA is open for you to complete and a FAFSA night was being planned.
The FAFSA night is going to be held on Monday, October 13th from 6pm to 7pm in room 24 (Dual Enrollment classroom) at the High school.
Representatives from MCC and MID will be there to help you complete the FAFSA. Please bring a computer and have your FSA ID created to make the process smoother.

This Wednesday, October 1st is State Count Day in Michigan. 📝
It is essential that students are present for all their classes throughout the day. Count Day helps determine the funding our school receives to support programs, teachers, and opportunities for our students.

Starting Tuesday, October 14, through December 11, we’ll be offering after-school tutoring every Tuesday & Thursday in the library from 3:00–4:30 PM with our teachers.
✅ Open to ALL interested students
✅ Transportation may be available if you sign up
✅ If you sign up for transportation, you must stay and work the whole time
✅ If you leave early, you must leave the building
