NEW and exciting opportunity for your students to participate in. Child Advocacy will be hosting a teen smoking/vaping cessation program starting May 27th! This is a FREE, 10-session program held at Child Advocacy (515 N. State St., Alma). Classes will occur for 5 weeks in concession on Tuesday and Wednesday between 4pm - 5pm starting May 27, 2025 and will conclude June 25, 2025. Gratiot County youth going into grades 7th - 12th are eligible to participate. Class size is limited to 10 youth. Parent permission is required.

The Dow Championship is pleased to bring the 2025 LPGA Leadership Academy to Apple Mountain Resort in Freeland, MI. This unique program features classroom style lessons on team building, developing confidence and leadership skills instructed by the LPGA Foundation. The lessons are then reinforced out on the golf course with fun and creative activities coached by LPGA-certified golf professionals from around the country. The second day features an executive lunch panel with 4 female Dow executives sharing their journey through high school, college and to their present positions in a casual format that allows the participants to openly ask questions and gain insight.
Target Audience: Girls ages 13-18 with an interest in leadership skills development and golf

Thank you to the Gratiot-Isabella Great Start Collaborative and Sleepy Dog Books Foundation for the Book Vending Machine. Pirate Preschoolers will be able to pick out a free book to take home and keep forever.
I know they will be excited when they see the disco lights.

The Band Boosters of Fulton will be hosting a Craft Show on Saturday, April 12th from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM at Fulton HS/MS. During this event we will also have a Student Talent and Forensic Showcase. This week our Varsity Girls Basketball team will be competing in a District Semi-final on Wednesday, March 5th. They will take on the Breckenridge Huskies at 7:00 pm at Fowler High School's Fowler Athletic Center. The address is 700 S. Main St. in Fowler. A win will put the Lady Pirates in the District Championship game which will be played at Fowler on Friday at 7:00 pm.
